Programming Equivalents This is a conversion utility to change hex to decimal or binary to hex or whatever combination you need. All you do is put the number you want to convert into the appropriate box (type it or paste it), then hit the Enter key or left click anywhere within the gray utility area to see the results.
If you have a Windows PC, you might already know that the calculator in your Accessories folder can convert decimal, hex, and binary numbers when switched to Scientific under the View menu. I tried the calculator for a while, but I think the tool above is faster and easier to use.
Quickly find colors that go great together on the Atari 2600 without the tedious trial and error of typing various color combinations in your code and running it in an emulator dozens of times until you get it right. Now you can use this Atari 2600 Color Compatibility Tool and save a lot of time and energy. Just click on the colors to see the results displayed in the test area. Notice the numbers that appear above the color palettes when you click on the colors. When you find the right colors, simply copy and paste those numbers into your Atari 2600 program.
Remember that colors on a real Atari 2600 may be darker. Visit the Color section on the batari Basic page for more information.
Playfield Toy Here is an old graph of the playfield in case anyone needs it. It's also a toy. You can click inside of each box to toggle the color if you have JavaScript enabled. Remember that it's only a toy. It will not create code for you. The playfield editor in Visual batari Basic is much better. You can change row height, row colors, copy and paste, preview in emulator and more. Although the VbB playfield editor is better, I'll still leave this playfield toy here for the heck of it. If you play around with this playfield toy and create something that you don't want to lose, just take a screenshot and save the image to your computer. If you want to clear the graph, simply refresh/reload the page.
