This is a conversion utility to change hex to decimal or binary to hex or whatever combination you need. All you do is put the number you want to convert into the appropriate box (type it or paste it), then hit the Enter key or left click anywhere within the gray utility area to see the results. This tool was improved by bogax at AtariAge in a few ways, including the interactive byte section at the top of the tool.
The playfield variables tool above is for batari Basic users who want to draw small areas of the playfield. The standard playfield uses 4 variables for each row (8 bits x 4 = 32). You can access these variables directly (var0 through var47). The second and fourth playfield variables of each row have a reversed bit order, so the tool gives reversed numbers to the left and normal numbers to the right. Decimal and hexadecimal numbers are displayed (choose your favorite).
This tool has been replaced by the bB Playfield Editor.
If you use a browser that can spell check your text, you can paste your code in the text box below and see if you have any misspelled words in your REM statements.
Conversion tools are great, but sometimes I just want a list of hexadecimal numbers next to their corresponding decimal numbers that I can scroll up and down and look at, so here it is.
