Look Before Leaving

How to make sure you will never leave a child in a vehicle.

Opinion page by Duane Alan Hahn.

RT Eyes Tip Jar

The human brain is imperfect. That's why pilots have a checklist. No matter how sleepy, stressed, or distracted a pilot is, if he or she uses the checklist, it's hard to mess up.

Similarly, if you always inspect the interior of your vehicle before walking away, it won't matter if you are sleepy, stressed, distracted, had a change in routine, or are having an emotional crisis. Looking before leaving will make sure a brain fart won't make you forget a baby or some other important living or non-living thing in your vehicle.

Always double check. Don't let your ego or circumstances prevent you from looking before leaving.

The Good and the Bad

Negative ions are good for us. You might want to avoid positive ion generators and ozone generators.

Never litter. If you can't find a trash can, take it home and throw it away there.

Hydrofracking is bad for you, your family, your friends, and the environment.

Some people appear to have a mental illness because they have a vitamin B deficiency. I take B-Right.

Unfermented soy is bad! “When she stopped eating soy, the mental problems went away.”
