No, that's Not the Virgin Mary, it's Pareidolia Wake up and smell your gullibility. Opinion page by Duane Alan Hahn.
The human brain is great at picking out shapes in things such as clouds, smoke, windows, rocks, sonograms, tree bark, chocolate, toast, ice, fire and so on. Show most people a floor or wall containing some kind of random patterns and they'll be able to find something recognizable. It might be fun if you find what seems to be an image of Jesus or some other religious icon, but it's simply not a message from God.
It's the same thing for people who claim that they see images of the Virgin Mary. God is not randomly plopping down pictures of the Virgin Mary all over the place. It's just a trick of the mind. Someone will notice a shape, which just barely looks like a famous painting of the Virgin Mary, and although it's usually a huge stretch to see any resemblance, hundreds, or thousands, or millions of gullible people will flock to the image. The image often looks more like labia than anything else, and women will talk about how beautiful it is and rub their hands all over it and rub their children's hands on it. "Come and rub the magical labia with mommy." It's pretty disgusting.
God is wherever you are. You don't need to look for signs from God to run to. You don't need anyone or anything to go between you and God. The power of God is within you. If you are running from sign to sign looking for a healing miracle, just stop running and heal yourself. Whether your healing comes instantly or from a diet and lifestyle change, or in some other way, it all comes from choosing a new path. You want a miracle? Create one yourself by aiming your life in a new direction. Choose what you
see as your new reality, write it down and believe that you are receiving it. It's either already here or on its way.
