Chat Brats

Voluntary illiteracy is not cool.

A growing number of people refuse to capitalize words, have tons of spelling mistakes, and use every kind of cryptic abbreviation you can think of. They say it's from years of using live chat rooms. They don't understand that you can use chat room 'shorthand' in a chat room and use more understandable writing in other areas. It's either all or nothing with them.

They even claim to write that way at school or at work. There are people who would kill for a chance to go to a good school and have a chance at the 'American dream' (or something similar) but these chat brats spit on a chance at a better life. They think voluntary illiteracy is cool.

Chat rooms are quickly turning millions of people into lazy cavemen. In about 20 years, people will just be hitting the keyboard with their fists and communicate offline with grunts and whistles.

Shift Key Sloth

Hitting the shift key when necessary is not a huge chore. It's a large key on the keyboard right in front of you. It's not like you have to get up and go into another room to press it. Even people with one arm can figure out a way to use the shift key.
