Firefly (TV Series - 9/20/2002 to 12/20/2002)

Although I really didn't like the 'first' episode very much, I've seen every episode which has aired so far. Firefly has quickly improved. I also need to mention the great computer graphics. The ships and things look totally real. I don't think I've seen anything on TV that looks better or has a more convincing look, forget TV, I think it looks better than most movies I've seen. Those guys should win a bunch of awards. The whole team, actors and so on, have done a great job on the show.

FOX used to take more chances and leave a show on long enough to build an audience. I hope this show continues in some way, even in movie form, but I like it as a TV show because you get more chances for interesting episodes. Update: They made a movie called Serenity which is great news, but I still wish it was in series form because you have more chances of getting great episodes mixed in with stuff you don't like, just like Star Trek. You can always find an episode of Star Trek you like because there are so many, but it's very easy to dislike every movie since there aren't that many in comparison.

Futurama

(TV Series 3/1999 to 8/2003)

I don't like this show as much as Family Guy, but it's usually better than the Simpsons.

Heroes

Heroes (TV Show)

Fun to watch, but it can be a little slow in spots. The first 7 episodes of the second season weren't that great, but it did start to get better after that.

How Difficult Can This Be? The F.A.T. City Workshop (1989)

Shows 'normal' people what it's like to have various learning difficulties. Eye-opening for most people who watch it and they learn a new way to think about fairness. Watching 'normal' people take these various tests and having a hard time is also good for people who have learning difficulties. It helps them to feel like someone finally understands. Everyone should see this video.

Jericho (TV Show)

I don't know how long it will take before we know the cause of the nuclear disaster, but it's fun discovering what happened. Parts of the show can be dull, especially when they focus on the blonde who thinks her future husband is dead and the brother who wants a divorce so he can hump the woman at the bar.

Joan of Arcadia (TV Series 9/26/2003 to 05/2005)

My family and I thought this show might be another lame Touched by an Angel or Highway to Heaven, but it was pretty good and most of the episodes were worth watching. With all of the crap CBS keeps on year after year, It's hard to believe this show was cancelled.

The Joe Schmo Show (TV Series)

A fake reality show called Lap of Luxury where only one of the contestants is actually real. It's not mean like you would think. Although its a prank show, it's done in way that doesn't make you cringe. I haven't watched the second season. I'll probably watch it on DVD.

John Doe (2002–2003 TV Series)

One more good show that FOX killed.

Journeyman

Journeyman (2007+ TV Series)

This series was a little boring at the beginning, but it started to get better after the first handful of episodes. Now Journeyman is one of my favorite shows. I know it's a Quantum Leap rip-off, but at least the main character doesn't have to wear dresses or kiss a new girl almost every episode. He's not constantly stuck in the past, so he gets to come home, which is better, and we slowly get to find out why it's happening and why his 'dead' wife is doing the same thing.

Kitchen Nightmares

Kitchen Nightmares (2007+ TV Series)

I like the show, but I don't like the constant "Please don't leave! Look at all of the exciting things coming up!" before they go to a commercial. I'm here. I'm not leaving. Don't spoil the show by showing me all of the cool stuff to come. I hate that I have to leap for the remote to fast-forward before they spoil everything.

If more people watched this show, some might learn to have more pride in their work and others might learn a little humility. Too many people have the "nobody complained, so it must be great" attitude or the "half-assed is good enough for me, so it should be good enough for you" attitude or the "how dare you even suggest that I'm not perfect" attitude. Throw out your ego and old ways that don't work and get the job done.

The Krofft Supershow (TV Series 9/11/76 to 9/2/78)

I only watched this when the fake band (Kaptain Kool and the Kongs) hosted. I remember watching Dr. Shrinker, Wonderbug, and Electrawoman and Dynagirl. Crazy stuff. They must have been on drugs.

Ladyhawke (1985)

The Last Remake of Beau Geste (1977)

I saw this movie on HBO over and over again back in the late 1970s when I was a kid. I thought parts of the movie were great back then. It would be nice to have it on DVD to see if I like it as much as I did when I was a kid.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent (TV Series)

I think this is the best of the various versions of Law & Order. The others are OK, but this one stands out and is a lot more interesting. I hate the second team of detectives that were added in season 5. They somehow manage to take an interesting show and turn it into instant crap. I understand that D'Onofrio needs a break, but can't we get better actors? Chris Noth stinks.

Lidsville (TV Series 9/11/1971 to 9/1/1973)

I didn't love this show, but some episodes were worthy of a look. I hated the stupid living hats and the lame theme song, but I did like the idea of finding a secret entrance into another dimension.

Life on a Stick (TV Series)

This show was goofy enough for me to like it. It wasn't on very long though. I pretty much liked the whole cast. That was the first time I saw Charlie Finn on anything. If he isn't a star yet, he should be. And you have to like Saige Thompson. She should also be a big star.

The Loop (TV Series)

I hope this show stays on for at least a few seasons. It's a goofy little show, but it deserves to stay on for a while. Update: After watching a few episodes of the second season, I don't like it as much. I like the old opening better and the two girls that used to live with the main character are gone.

Match Game / Match Game PM (Game Show)

Unless I'm forgetting something, this is my favorite game show. I'm talking about the 1970s version that ran into the 1980s. Never saw the 1960s version or the Match Game-Hollywood Squares Hour, but it sounds like it was terrible. I watched the 1990 Ross Shafer version and it was OK, but he was too wimpy and that rapid-fire matching part of the game they added really sucked.

My local cable company moved GSN to some stupid premium sports package, so I couldn't get it for a while, but they eventually brought it back.

The Matrix (1999)

I would like this movie much better without most of the slow motion. It's still one of my favorite movies though. It's much better than the two that followed. The special effects in Revolutions was better than what they had in crappy Reloaded, but special effects don't make a movie interesting on their own. Not much happened in the second or third movies that was even half as interesting as the first.

Mazes and Monsters (1982)

A movie that will probably be banned by the PC police.

Medium (TV Series)

I didn't think I would like this show, but it's pretty good. I have been watching since the first episode. The second season had some weak episodes. You knew what was coming 5 miles away. Most episodes are still worth watching, so I'm not close to giving up on the show yet.

MXC (TV Series)

Most Extreme Elimination Challenge can be kind of lame sometimes, but no matter how stupid the comic voiceovers can be, it's funny to see foreign people doing so many dangerous stunts on really crappy sets. The Log Drop and Window Pain are a couple of my favorites.

Gilligan's Island (TV Series)

Brain suck TV. I hope one day that there will be proof that shows like these cause brain damage.

Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. (TV Series)

Green Acres (TV Series)

Hello, Dolly! (1969)

I hate movies like this and anything else with Barbara Streisand in it.

It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (1963)

The Jamie Kennedy Experiment (TV Series)

I hate almost all prank shows and this is one of them. Jamie Kennedy also makes me want to puke. I don't want to see him on TV or in movies.

Local TV Stations

I dislike local TV stations (ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX) because they don't respect the network programming. They interrupt shows for lame reasons, usually because they want their local news anchors to get more face time. They preempt your favorite shows and replace them with local sports and infomercials and if that wasn't bad enough, they can decide at any time that they don't want you to see a certain show, so they just pull the plug.

M*A*S*H (TV Series)

Maude (TV Series)

Mayberry R.F.D. (TV Series)

Minority Report (2002)

A huge disappointment because we didn't get to see enough futuristic stuff. What they did show was pretty good, but they needed more throughout the movie.

The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo (TV)

Monster's Ball (2001)

They should have called this movie 'Monsters Ball' instead of 'Monster's Ball' because all of the main characters seem to be monsters in some way and that's all this soft-core porno seems to be about, monsters having sex. I agree with just about every negative comment you will find at the IMDb.

Mork and Mindy (TV Series)

The Mothman Prophecies (2002)

Mark Pellington has to be one of the worst directors on the planet. He managed to take a semi-interesting 'true' story and turn it into boring, counterfeit garbage. Since he's not interested in UFOs, men in black, and other things from the original account, the movie suffers horribly. The whole movie is a clumsy, heavy-handed mess.

The Munsters (TV Series)

My Fair Lady (1964)

Pesky People

They might be the nicest people in the world, but something about their public personas make me cringe and change the channel.

Jamie Kennedy

Yuck, just yuck.

Camryn Manheim

Her 'I'm too sexy' act is sickening. Please go away.

Edie McClurg

I think she is tied with Fred Travalena for most irritating 'entertainer'. Any time she opens her mouth, you know your ears and brain are in for some pain, so it's the fast forward button to the rescue.
