A Better Nail

The nail has been around for thousands of years. To this day the standard "Round Nail" is still the most widely used nail globally. Around 1989 an inventor named Frank Potucek had a better idea for the standard nail and patented it.

This nail is called the "Star Nail" and rightly so. It is a nail with five elongated fins that look similar to a "star" shape. The Star Nail can do everything a round nail can do and more.

It has better holding power. There are more nails per pound, because the Star Nail uses about half the raw material to manufacture. There is more profit for the builders using the nail because the Star Nail reduces wood splitting and thus less material waste for the user.

One other benefit of the Star Nail is that it weighs 50% less. This reduces shipping costs. Workers will appreciate the lower weight when they have to carry the nails up and down a ladder hundreds of times a day. There is less weight for the person stocking the retailers shelves and less weight for the customer to carry. This is one of those rare occasions where "Less is More!"
