Some 'experts' run around shouting the word quack when pinhole glasses are mentioned. It may be entertaining to hear their duck imitations, but it does nothing to get to the truth. That's because their job is not to find truth, but to protect systems that already exist.

These 'experts' think that buying expensive glasses that only work for a certain amount of time before you have to get stronger ones is a better system. But it's only a temporary fix.

The benefits of pinhole glasses are probably exaggerated, but at least pinhole glasses show that there are always alternatives, no matter how good or bad they may be. There's almost always a better way to do things, and in this case, it may involve diet/lifestyle changes and vision therapy more often than things we poke in our eyes or slap on our faces.
